Saturday: Palermo
Arrival at Palermo airport. Self transfer to the hotel and meeting with tour escort for the general information about the " Lands of Sicily " tour. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Sunday: Palermo, Monreale
Breakfast at the hotel; the whole day will be dedicated to the visit of Palermo, the capital of Sicily, one of most rich town in Sicily for history and art. We will visit the Cathedral, the Church of St. John of the Hermits, the Norman Palace, the Palatine Chapel; we will continue to Monreale to admire the Cathedral with its splendid 12th century mosaics, and the cloister of the Benedectine monastery with Moorish and Norman architecture. In the afternoon optional excursion to Santuario di Santa Rosaliaon Mount Pellegrino, the Catacombs of the Capuchins, the beautiful Martonara church and nice walk through the narrow streets of Vucciria, Palermo's main and old market.

Monday: Selinunte - Erice - Agrigento
Breakfast at the Hotel. The whole day will be dedicated to the visit of the beautiful area of Trapani, with its vineyards famous all around the world; first we will visit the fascinating Erice, a small medieval village with ancient Greek origin, situated on a little hill, where it will be possible to enjoy a fantastic view on the Egadi Islands and have a nice taste of its typical almonds biscuits. In the afternoon we will drive to Selinunte to visit the archeological park, the largest in the Mediterranean area. In the afternoon we will continue with the visit of the. In the late afternoon we will reach Agrigento. Accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.

Tuesday: Agrigento - Caltagirone -Acireale
Breakfast at the hotel; visit of Agrigento and its wonderful Valley of the Temples: Concordia Temple, Ercole Temple, Giunone Temple and Castore and Polluce Temples which represent the most beautiful examples of Greek Civilization in Sicily. We will continue to Caltagirone, known in the world for the production of its ceramics. . Visit of the famous ceramic museum to discover the secrets of this ancient art from its birth to present days; lunch in a typical farmhouse to taste some Sicilian specialties. Drive on to the Eastern coast of Sicily. Accommodation at hotel, dinner and overnight.

Wednesday: Siracusa - Catania
Breakfast at hotel. In the morning excursion to Siracusa, the most beautiful Greek colony of Sicily; in particular we will visit the famous Arethusa Fountain, and the archaeological area with its marvellous Greek theatre and Ear of Dionisios. In the afternoon the tour will go on to Catania, the town known for its original baroque style and for its streets built with black lava stone the from mount Etna. Walk along Via Etnea, the Baroque main street, Via Crociferi, Piazza Duomo with the Cathedral and "Liotru" statue, Roman Amphitheatre, the Opera House and the princely Biscari Palace. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Thursday: Etna - Taormina
Breakfast at the hotel; morning dedicated to fantastic excursion to the Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe. Across fascinating landscape, we will reach the height of 2000 metres, from where we will enjoy a fantastic panorama of the Ionic Sea. In the afternoon, time at leisure in Taormina, the small mediaeval village called "the pearl of the Ionic Sea", famous for its typical tiny streets and its fascinating Greek theatre. In the late afternoon, return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Friday: Piazza Armerina - Cefalù
Breakfast at hotel. Departure for Piazza Armerina, in the heart of Sicily, where we will visit the Roman "Villa del Casale", famous for its fantastic mosaics. Lunch at local restaurant and transfer by bus to Cefalù for a visit of the Norman Dome, rich of byzantine mosaics. Then, drive on to Palermo. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

Saturday: Palermo
Breakfast at hotel. End of our services.
